As a leader of the sales team, the Sales Manager is the
driving force behind the dealership's sales experiences. The Sales Manager
is dedicated to motivating their team in order to achieve monthly sales targets
and ensuring that all members of the team have the training and resources
necessary to be successful in their jobs. As a team player the Sales Manager
strives to develop collaborative relationships throughout the dealership. The
Sales Manager is focused on upholding our dealership's brand values and brand
standards to create an unparalleled customer experience in the sales
department.
Job Responsibilities:
·
Assists individual salespeople in setting
aggressive yet realistic monthly goals and objectives and provides them with
the support to meet these goals.
·
Maintains teamwork in a customer-focused sales
environment throughout the sales, delivery, and follow-up process.
·
Provides effective communication
throughout the sales department as well as interdepartmentally.
·
Provides proper product and training resources
for sales consultants on a regular and continuous basis.
·
Works with sales personnel on programs that will
increase the sales gross and F&I penetration.
·
Develops incentive programs along with dealer
and other managers.
·
Helps sales personnel close deals when
necessary.
·
Completes deal settlement sheets and turns into
accounting office in a prompt and timely manner.
·
Establishes and maintains standards for the
delivery of vehicles to customers.
·
Provides dealer with accurate floor traffic
control data on a daily basis.
·
Recommends to the general sales manager the
new-car inventory to be carried by color, model, and equipment, based on a
variety of customer and market analyses.
·
Assists the sales department with trade
appraisals as needed.
·
Directs merchandising and advertising efforts
for the new-vehicle department in conjunction with the sales managers and
dealer.
·
Must comply to all company safety policies and
procedures.
·
Other duties as required.
Successful Candidates Possess:
· Previous experience in a Sales Manager role an
asset.
· Proven leadership ability to
supervise and motivate a sales team to exceed goals
· Proven success in auto retail
sales management
· Strong aptitude for logical
thinking, including detailed problem-solving skills
· Demonstrates self-assurance,
self-confidence and a strong desire to work in a demanding but rewarding
atmosphere
· Understands, keeps abreast of,
and complies with federal, provincial, and local regulations that affect
vehicle sales.
· Detail oriented and excels in
a fast-paced, results driven environment
· Persistent and goal driven
· Knowledge of ONE Eighty
preferred
· Valid driver’s license and
clean driving record
· Ability to pass drug testing
and background check
· AMVIC license required
· Professional appearance and
work ethic
